Doug Barry is the founder and director of Radix, a national Catholic

Doug
was so unsettle by the description of hell that he had to change the
path that he was on.
Dave lived a healthy life: he did not drink, smoke, and he exercised
regularly. For reasons that no one can explain, Dave had a major heart
attack in his early forties. As he hung between life and death, Dave
felt and heard a beautiful woman whispering words of scripture and
comfort close to his ear.

moved by faith and the Blessed Mother to change careers and take on a
national effort to support mothers and their precious children.
Yoli grew up in extreme poverty, with a mother who struggled daily to
give her and her siblings even the basics. Although they were very,
very poor, Yoli’s mother had an unshakable faith in Mary, the
Saints, and Jesus Christ. When Yoli’s mother died, she had
nothing to leave her children except the gift of faith.

Marie:
Two years ago in January, 2009, baby Rose Marie died after a terrible
water accident.
Sally Robb, who was Rose’s god-mother, recorded a series of
reflection about Rose and her family. The first was recorded shortly
after the solemnity of the Blessed Virgin Mary while Rose was in the
hospital fighting for her life. The second was recorded at
Rose’s
funeral, after she had passed into Christ’s arms.
This week, we would like to play both of those reflections for you and

saying the rosary, having Mary’s name constantly on his lips,
would save his life.

This week, you’ll hear a very special story from a remarkable
husband and wife, Joe and Cathy:
The morning of his wife Cathy’s birthday, Joe went off to
work as
usual. He could not have known that later that day Cathy would suffer
from a massive heart attack and slip into a coma. When Joe got the word
that his wife was in the hospital, there was little he could do except
fall back on the power of intercessory prayer.
Cathy remembers little about her birthday. After seeing her husband off
to work, she remembers feeling “not quite right.”
The next
thing she knew she was lying in a hospital bed, full of tubes,
wondering where she was and what had happen. Having come so close to
death, Cathy would eventually see this experience as a great gift, one
that drew her closer to God, the Blessed Mother, and her husband.

nearly crushed by the collapsing South Tower. Though he had narrowly

burned high above him. When the North Tower collapsed, Al had only
prayer to protect him. Quite literally as the Hail Mary escaped his
lips, Capt. Al Fuentes was buried under thousands of tons of steel and

This week, in a special Mary's Touch, you'll from Lisa Molina and her
son
Thomas.
Thomas Molina, it is fair to say, is a remarkable boy. A
three-time cancer survivor, he has spent most of his young life in and
out
of hospitals and treatment centers. Far from making him angry, his
struggle
to beat cancer has deepened his faith and the faith of those around
him.
Lisa, his mother, is a woman with an exceptional spirit. When
she
found out that her son (who was only three years old at the time) had
Leukemia, she was stricken but resolved: together, as a family with
Christ's
help, they could beat the disease. When the cancer returned a second
and
then a third time, Lisa nearly broke, and cried out to heaven "please
God,
take me, but not my son." As she lay at the foot of her son's cross,
she
was suddenly held up and strengthened by Mary.

This week you’ll from Betsie: One evening, after a busy day
of
sports, Betsie’s son did not feel well. Assuming that the

threatened his leg and his life. Betsie and her son needed a miracle.
Thanks to their parish priest, and the Blessed Mother, they got one.
And you’ll also hear from Katherine: Katherine volunteered to

"Growing
up I had no exposure to religion. But since I was little I
always had a believe in God..." This
week you'll hear from Evelyn: Evelyn grew up Protestant but knew little
about Jesus and even less about Mary. While thinking about (and even
scoffing at) the rosary she had an epiphany: Mary was THE Mother of
God. Not only did she embrace Mary but the Catholic faith as well.
You'll also hear from Nini: Abandoned by her mother, Nini was raised
by an emotionally distant father. Longing for a mother, Nini found
a rosary and prayer booklet in her father’s pocket. She asked
Mary
to be her mother, hold her, and change her tears to laughter.
