Rush To Be
Heard In Washington
Thank you
listeners! Many of you have registered your concern over our
government's attacks on Mr. Limbaugh. Keep it up! Read
on...
On January 26, 2009 the Democratic
Congressional Campaign Committee
(DCCC), the official campaign arm of the Democrats in the
House of
Representatives, attacked a private citizen, Rush Limbaugh,
with a
petition drive.
The DCCC's stated reason for the attack, called
"Rush To Judgment,"
is that Mr. Limbaugh has publicly expressed his doubts and alarm over
President Obama's legislative agenda to fix the economy.
The purpose of this petition drive is to bring public
and perhaps legislative pressure on Mr. Limbaugh and
silence him.
The galling attack is a violation of Mr.
Limbaugh's First
Amendment right to free speech - a right that allows him to
express ANY
opinion he
may have concerning our government and its policies.
The effect of this attack on Mr. Limbaugh's rights and
the accompanying
threat to his freedom is an attack on and threat against the
rights and
freedoms of all of us.

Above all, conscious of our responsibility as Christians

Why Are You Doing This
"Rush To Be Heard" Thing?
Our Christian history is written with the blood
of martyrs who stood up to the State and said, "No, you are
not
God, our savior or even the center of our existence."
Before he was elected Pope, Benedict XVI, then Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger, put it
well in his Church,
Ecumenism and Politics when he wrote:
"The state is not the whole of human existence and does
not embrace the whole of human hope. Men and women and their
hopes extend beyond the thing that is the state and beyond the sphere
of political activity."

government may not reward you for your efforts, remember this: “And
whoever gives only a cup of cold water to one of these little ones to
drink because he is a disciple – amen, I say to you, he will
surely not lose his reward.” (Matt. 10:42)
