Would you like to sponsor a program on Thread of Grace? Find out how
There
is an old Jewish saying which goes that no matter how dark the tapestry
God weaves for us there is always a thread of grace. I pray that we may
always find the luminous thread of His grace
woven into the tapestry of our lives.

So often we think only of the most destitute
as
needing Christ's mercy. In fact, the poor and afflicted are
all
around us - in our streets, schools, places of work, even in our homes.
Do you know what humility sounds like?
It
sounds like a world-class musician asking forgiveness from people who
could not carry a tune if it had a handle on it.
Having returned from camp I was thinking
about the
children there. It's funny how little we expect from them and
yet
how much they give to Jesus. Maybe that's because He knows
how
much they are capable of and rejoices when they give their all to Him.
Lesson learned.
To conclude, let me ask you: when
does our
chance for the second conversion come? When we are ready or when do we
need it? I think you know the answer.
Is it not interesting that when we think
about conversion, we think about something being there that
was
not
there before? But the truth of the matter is that real
conversion, deep sanctifying conversion, is about emptying ourselves
out, not building ourselves up.
